Dateline: 2nd June, 2009 New Season in Oldham Oldham's Coliseum Theatre has announced the programme for its autumn and winter season. Opening the season in September will be John Godber's comedy set in an Austrian ski resort On The Piste, which will see the Coliseum's stage transformed into a ski slope. Following this, Jim Cartwright's examination of the various characters who come into a northern pub and its squabbling landlord and landlady, Two, will be the October production, after which London Classic Theatre will visit with Martin McDonagh's The Beauty Queen of Leenane. This year's pantomime, always a popular event at the Coliseum, will be Mother Goose, which will land on the Coliseum's stage from 21 November right through the festive season. 2010 will open with Alan Ayckbourn's popular dark comedy Absent Friends, followed by a visit from Middle Ground Theatre Company with Keith Waterhouse's 60s classic Billy Liar.
