Dateline: 13th April, 2006
Old Vic to Go Dark for Five Months It seems likely that the Old Vic will go dark for five months after Resurrection Blues ends (early, on Saturday 15th April) until September when Eugene O'Neill's A Moon for the Misbegotten opens. The management had been holding discussions about the possibility of taking one or more externally produced productions over the summer period but has finally admitted that it has not been possible to fit anything in and so it is "highly likely" - unless something else comes along - that the Waterloo theatre will close for the summer. A Moon for the Misbegotten will star Kevin Spacey and will be directed by Howard Davies. No specific dates or other casting have yet been announced and the play will be a co-production with Nica Burns, Max Weitzenhoffer & Elliot Martin. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
