Olivier presenters and performances announced

Olivier AwardsThe 36th Olivier Awards ceremony will take place at the Royal Opera House in London on Sunday 15 April with live coverage on BBC Television via the "red button", BBC Radio 2 and online plus a big-screen relay in Covent Garden.

Hosted by Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton, currently starring together in Sweeney Todd at the Adelphi, presenters will include Hayley Atwell, Douglas Booth, Zach Braff, Jim Carter, Tom Chambers, Tyne Daly, Jack Davenport, Agyness Deyn, Jonathan Edwards, Susannah Fielding, Vittorio Grigolo, Lenny Henry, Ronan Keating, Katherine Kelly, Harry Lloyd, James McAvoy, Natascha McElhone, Laurie Metcalf, Elaine Paige, Dan Stevens, Sir Patrick Stewart, David Suchet, Kara Tointon, Will Young, Zoe Wanamaker, Jodie Whittaker and Barbara Windsor.

The television coverage will begin with Anneka Rice interviewing on the red carpet from 5:30PM followed by the show itself from 6 to 9PM, and Ken Bruce will host the Radio 2 coverage from 5:30 to 9:30PM. The event will be streamed live worldwide through the Olivier Awards web site and the BBC Radio 2 web site.

The free public event in Covent Garden piazza will begin at 4PM and feature live performances from the BBC Radio 2 Olivier Audience Award nominees: Billy Elliot The Musical, Jersey Boys, Les Misérables and Wicked.

The show will also be relayed to the Frederick P Rose Hall in the Lincoln Center, New York for a special event for an invited audience of UK theatre stars and professionals and special guests.
