One Dance UK has launched what it has referred to as its 'Dance Manifesto', which it says is "not only for the upcoming General Election, but a longer-term vision for how policymakers can help support the UK dance sector once the new Government and Parliament are in place."
CEO of One Dance UK Andrew Hurst said, "here at One Dance UK, we are strong advocates for the unique and important role that dance has to play in education, health and wellbeing, community cohesion, social mobility and diversity, as well as being a great UK art form that is helping to drive the economy.
"Our Manifesto outlines all the many ways in which policymakers can and should support dance, and we urge not only our members but anyone with a passion for this fantastic art form to share this with their local MPs, candidates and wider networks to start conversations, provoke thought and help us champion the message that dance has the power to unite and transform lives.”
