New musical champion Katy Lipson is to hold an open pitching day in London to hear new musical work.

The show to be presented can be at any stage of development but must include at least one new song. Aria Entertainment producer Lipson and the company’s literary manager Tom Ramsay will attend the presentations.

New musical theatre writers should use the scheduler to book a 15-minute slot on 13 or 14 March on a first-come, first-served basis. The writers should perform themselves or play demos and should plan a pitch of 10 minutes (maximum) to allow a period for feedback and conversation. It is envisaged that the pitching day will be a twice-yearly event.

Lipson founded Aria Entertainment in 2012 and has produced more than eighty shows up and down the country as well as the West End and Off-West End. She is the force behind the From Page To Stage festival and more recently co-launched The Chamber Musical Award.

Aria Entertainment credits include the Olivier-nominated Cruise, the West End transfer of The Last Five Years, and major UK tours such as The Osmonds, The Cher Show, Hair, The Rise and Fall of Little Voice and The Addams Family.
