Chicken Shed Celebrates Peter Pan

Chicken Shed Theatre Company and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity are to present a star studded celebrity performance to celebrate 100 years of Peter Pan

Appearing will be Jane Asher, Michael Aspel, Richard Briers, Marcus Brigstocke, Simon Callow, Nickolas Grace, Sheila Hancock, Ruthie Henshall, Simon Grant, Melanie Hill, Twiggy and Leigh Lawson, George Layton, Maureen Lipman, Kelly McDonald, Freddie Popplewell, Anneka Rice, Jenny Seagrove, Josette Simon, John Standing, Juliet Stevenson, Sally-Ann Triplett, Denise Van Outen, Finty Williams and Richard Wilson.

This will be a one off star-studded gala performance of the classic children’s play at the very theatre where it was first brought to life 100 years ago.

Stars from stage, screen and music will join the cast of The Chicken Shed Theatre on the stage of the Albery Theatre - please note: this is a change of venue - in London on Sunday 19th December at 6.30 pm. A specially adapted version of Chicken Shed’s sell-out Christmas production will be performed and will include a selection of celebrity readings from the original story.

There will also be a special appearance by Freddie Popplewell, the young son of a GOSH consultant who starred as Michael in the recent film version of Peter Pan.

In 1929 J M Barrie gave the copyright of Peter Pan to Great Ormond Street Hospital. Ever since, the money raised from this story has helped many sick children from around the world.

Tickets for the performance cost £35 to £195 (including an after show party) and are available from the GOSHCC Special Events Department on 020 7916 5678.
