Avanti and Artizani will perform at Pilot Sites

Theatre-makers from the West Midlands and beyond who perform in outdoor or alternative spaces are to present work in a range of sites across Birmingham.

PILOT Nights, a work-in-progress performance platform, has teamed up with Birmingham Hippodrome and independent outdoor arts producer Lou Lomas to stage PILOT Sites.

The project has been created in response to the increasing number of artists working in the outdoor arts sector and producing site-specific work.

The line-up for the first PILOT sites features Avanti and Artizani with Reliquary and The Liminal Edge; Freedom Studios with Osmosis; Lyndsay Price and Tara Buckley presenting The Tea Project; Small Encounters staging Small Encounters; Talking Birds hoping to bowl over the audience with The Cricketers; The Other Way Works performing Agent in a Box; and Theatre Absolute presenting Once.

PILOT Sites will take to the streets on Thursday 1 May from 6:30PM.
