James Grieve and George Perrin

Come To Where I'm From

Paines Plough directors James Grieve and George Perrin have announced a new initiative which sees new plays in thirteen theatres this summer. 58 playwrights from across the UK return to their home towns to write plays about the places that shaped them.

Starting from tomorrow, the dates, playwrights and venues are:

In addition the company will present new plays by some of the UK's leading writers - April De Angelis, David Harrower, Marie Jones, Linda McLean and Gary Owen - on tour in England, Scotland and Ireland, with a pie and a pint thrown in as the Paines Plough partner with the Glasgow's A Play, A Pie and A Pint. Paines Plough will also be presenting the World Premiere of a new play by Olivier Award winner Mike Bartlett with The Drum Theatre, Plymouth in October.

Before then you can see our collaboration with Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse on Laurence Wilson's uproarious state of the nation comedy Tiny Volcanoes, which opens at The Latitude Festival before touring.
