Redgrave Wins Shakespeare Award

Corin Redgrave is this year's recipient of the Pragnell Shakespeare Award, presented annually at the Shakespeare Birthday Celebrations in Stratford-upon-Avon since 1990. The sponsor is Pragnell Jewellers, of Wood Street, Stratford-upon-Avon.

The award is for an outstanding contribution to Shakespeare studies or on the stage (direction, performance, or design). In the first years the award alternated each year between a theatre practitioner and an academic noted for published work on Shakespeare's works.
