TV Stars Sitting Pretty at Watford Actresses Belinda Lang, well known for her television roles as Bill in 2 Point 4 Children and Liza in Second Thoughts, and Anna Carteret, best remembered for her starring role in Juliet Bravo, have just been confirmed as the stars of Watford Palace Theatre's forthcoming production Sitting Pretty. The play, a co-production between Watford Palace Theatre and Nica Burns, Max Weitzenhoffer and Keith Murray, will play in Watford from 27 January to 12 February and then tour to the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich, ahead of a proposed West End transfer. Sitting Pretty, written by Amy Rosenthal and directed by Tamara Harvey, follows sisters Nina and Nancy on a journey of rediscovery of themselves and each other as successful tour guide Nina faces her unhappy past and recently redundant Nancy glimpses a possible future. Belinda, who will play Nina, has previously appeared at Watford Palace Theatre in Charlotte Jones' hit play Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis and is also one of the theatre's Appeal Patrons. Anna, who was recently seen in the West End alongside Joan Plowright in Franco Zeffirelli's production of Absolutely (Perhaps), will play Nancy. The cast also includes Kim Hartman ('Allo 'Allo), Richard O Callaghan (Carry On Loving, Carry On At Your Convenience), Pooky Quesnel (Family Affairs), Philip Bird (Silent Witness), Simon Robson (The Bill), Richenda Carey (Monarch Of The Glen), Bruce Godfree and Natalia Tena. Sitting Pretty opens on 27 January.
