PULSE Festival runs from 31 May to 9 June

For ten days from 31 May, the part curated-part open call PULSE Festival runs in Ipswich.

Produced by The New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich with festival directors China Plate, the programme includes work from around the UK as well as from artists based abroad.

The sixth Suitcase Prize Day will see the best environmentally sustainable show that can be toured on public transport take away a prize, and there is also a day given over to scratch work.

Performances include:

  • James McDermott presenting his 2017 Suitcase Prize Day winning coming of age comedy Rubber Ring
  • Hoipolloi's Me & Robin Hood which will raise money for charity Street Child United World Cup 2018
  • Frankie Vah from East Anglian award-winning poet Luke Wright
  • Education, Education, Education, a love letter to the schools of the '90s presented by the Wardrobe Ensemble that features the company's trademark theatricality and irreverent humour
  • Vincent Gambini’s The Chore Of Enchantment
  • La Pelles Factory’s The Black Cat
  • interactive digital piece User Not Found from Dante or Die
  • Proto-Type Theater’s The Audit
  • a live action short story collection Suicide Note by Christopher Brett Bailey
