Life-sized puppetry and live music will help tell the story of two unlikely friends at opposite ends of their lives this May at The Dukes in Lancaster.

Killing Roger will be on May 15 as part of a national tour and following 5-star runs in London and Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

This new play, recommended for anyone aged 13 plus, explores assisted dying and is inspired by prize winning author L W Illsley’s personal experiences of Hodgkin’s disease and the care industry.

The play, which is staged during Dying Matters Awareness Week, was first produced in association with Little Angel Theatre—the ‘Home of British Puppetry’—last year.

Following the show at The Dukes, there will be an optional 30-minute panel event on the play with representatives of Dying Matters who aim to change public knowledge, attitudes and behaviours towards dying, death and bereavement.
