A Purple Cow on the South Bank

A giant upside-down purple cow is to take up residence on the South Bank from the 27th May to 19th July. The E4 Udderbelly, a cow-shaped tent seating 400 which has been a venue at the Edinburgh Fringe for a number of years, is to host an season of comedy, circus, music, magic, theatre and children’s shows with the Southbank Centre between the London Eye and Royal Festival Hall.

The theatre events are:

8th - 14th June
The Terrible Infants
Based on stories by Oliver Lansley and Sam Wyer
Produced by Les Enfants Terribles

10th - 12th July
Private Peaceful
By Michael Morpurgo

13th July
Why I Don't Hate White People
Written and performed by Lemn Sissay

In addition there are two shows for children: The Little Mermaid on 20th and 22nd June, and Potted Pirates on 4th and 5th July.
