A Quick Guide to Ruining Your Life

An award-winning writer and director join forces with a local actor-producer to offer a new piece of live performance when Not Norman presents A Quick Guide to Ruining Your Life at the Kings Arms, Salford July 1, 6 and 7 as part of the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival.

A community meeting of several hundred local theatre artists and practitioners have come together to create the piece. Writer Laura Harper already has four awards under her belt. To the rest of her friends and family, Dawn has it all; nice house, fast car and a new job out in sunny Dubai. So, what’s with the current living situation?

Harper was inspired to write the play after a conversation with friends about the kinds of things they have done to avoid embarrassment.

Paul Worrall's directorial debut was Grow for Offcut Festival 2019 which attracted industry panel and audience awards.

Producer Diana Atkins founded and co-produces Manchester ADP, which won Best Comedy Play for its co-production Loves of Others at the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival in 2017, as well as staging more than 48 shows across Manchester venues including The Lowry and Oldham Coliseum.
