Dateline: 26th January, 2003 Spring at the Ramshorn The University of Stratchclyde's Ramshorn Theatre in Glasgow has announced its spring seasonH Mon 17th - Sat 22nd February at 8pm Theres a game we played in France. You go in the metro, choose someone you dont like the look of, and then - you abuse them. Sexually? No, in English. Its called Language Roulette because theres a chance your victim will understand - then you get your head kicked in! A tough, fast-talking, street-wise dark comedy set in the sub-culture of youth in Belfast in the early days of the ceasefire, by an award-winning writer from Northern Ireland. Six friends meet, drink, talk, laugh and ultimately reveal the guilty secrets and hidden animosities that underly their word-games. Glasgow International Comedy Festival How can I believe in God when last week I got my tongue caught in the roller of an electric typewriter? One of the worlds great comics and film-makers, Woody Allen has created two hilarious plays. Constantly confused about everything (himself, the universe, women, dentists...) the all-time loser meets the mysteries of creation and the demands of a violent society with riotous aplomb. All aspects of modern life are here, from alcohol to drug abuse to sexuality and religion. The friends face questions about the reality of their lives. Straight? gay? both?? Love and friendship, laughter and betrayal.....An up-to-date black comedy with a bit of drama and realism thrown in for good measure. A new play from a young Scottish writer - in his other life, Jaye Walker is a DJ at Jongleurs - and a young Scotttish theatre company.
