The University of Stratchclyde's Ramshorn Theatre in Glasgow has announced its spring seasonH

LANGUAGE ROULETTE
by Daragh Carville
directed by Bill Wright

‘There’s a game we played in France. You go in the metro, choose someone you don’t like the look of, and then - you abuse them.’ ‘Sexually?” ‘No, in English. It’s called Language Roulette because there’s a chance your victim will understand - then you get your head kicked in!’

A tough, fast-talking, street-wise dark comedy set in the sub-culture of youth in Belfast in the early days of the ceasefire, by an award-winning writer from Northern Ireland. Six friends meet, drink, talk, laugh and ultimately reveal the guilty secrets and hidden animosities that underly their word-games. This sharp, clever, quintessentially urban, and very funny script pulls no punches.

Tickets; Mon/Tues £5/2.50 Wed - Sat £8/4

Salem, Massachusetts in the spring of 1692.

This STG production marks the 50th anniversary of the first performance of Arthur Miller's classic play.

WOODY ALLEN DOUBLE BILL : GOD and DEATH
by Woody Allen
directed by Bruce Downie

‘How can I believe in God when last week I got my tongue caught in the roller of an electric typewriter?’

One of the world’s great comics and film-makers, Woody Allen has created two hilarious plays. Constantly confused about everything (himself, the universe, women, dentists...) the all-time loser meets the mysteries of creation and the demands of a violent society with riotous aplomb.

Death
Kleinman just wants a good night’s sleep, it being a work day tomorrow. Instead, he is thrown into a crisis, but no-one will tell him what to do. Events spiral out of control, and it’s not very safe in the streets
of New York after dark!

God
Is there a divine being with plans for us all? Are we just characters in someone’s play? How much simpler if God descended in his chariot to save mankind - but an unfortunate accident backstage has prevented this...Groucho Marx, Blanche DuBois and even Woody Allen himself try to find the answer.

‘Do I have a problem with death? Mainly the hours.’

Tickets: Mon/Tues £5/2.50 Wed - Sat £8/4

Wed 9th - Sat 12th April @ 7.30pm

CHARACTER FLAWS
by Jaye Walker

The action is in a flat somewhere in Glasgow. Six characters change as their lives develop. All aspects of modern life are here, from alcohol to drug abuse to sexuality and religion. The friends face questions about the reality of their lives. Straight? gay? both?? Love and friendship, laughter and betrayal.....An up-to-date black comedy with a bit of drama and realism thrown in for good measure.

A new play from a young Scottish writer - in his other life, Jaye Walker is a DJ at Jongleurs - and a young Scotttish theatre company.

Tickets: £8/4
