Husband and wife Graham Tudor (Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Mamma Mia and Grease on the West End) and Helen Noble (Abby Davies in Channel 4's Hollyoaks) will play fictional couple Jamie and Cathy in Jason Robert Brown's musical The Last Five Years at Liverpool's Epstein Theatre.
Tudor and Noble met while appearing in panto in Plymouth in 2005 and set up their own theatre company and acting school in Liverpool, which this year celebrates its tenth anniversary.
In the musical, they play a struggling actress and an up-and-coming novelist in New York. Noble said that the show is "chronicling the story from opposite ends of the relationship: Jamie’s story moving forward from the beginning when all the hope and excitement still lies ahead, and Cathy’s opening at the tragic end of the relationship where all hope is lost."
Directed by Iestyn Arwel from Wales, the production runs from 15 to 17 June 2017.
