Olivier-Award winning rock ‘n’ roll musical Return to the Forbidden Planet will mark its 25th anniversary with an official return in 2015.

The Grand in Blackpool will host the action-packed musical from April 27 to May 2.

Return to the Forbidden Planet has been revived by the original design team including creator and director Bob Carlton, 25 years after it first appeared on the West End in 1989. The tour kicked off at the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch and also features an appearance by Queen guitarist Brian May via video projection.

Inspired by Shakespeare’s The Tempest and the 1950s sci-fi film Forbidden Planet, it’s packed with rock ‘n’ roll classics.
