The Rod Hall Memorial Award The Rod Hall Agency, the literary agency representing writers and writer-directors in theatre, film and televsion, has teamed up with new writing company Paines Plough to set up the Rod Hull Memorial Award. The Rod Hall Memorial Award will be presented every two years to an outstanding new playwright. Rod Hall always believed in nurturing new, untried talent and would support his writers unreservedly. The Rod Hall Memorial Award will be a long term commitment to the recipient, in keeping with Rod's intentions towards his own clients. This award is intended to launch a writing career - the Winner will receive a £5,000 commission to write a play for Paines Plough, together with ongoing representation from The Rod Hall Agency Ltd.
