Royal Ballet World Premieres The Royal Ballet has announced four world premieres of new works from October 2010 into 2011. In October this year the company will present a new work by Kim Brandstrup (Rushes and The Goldberg Project). In February 2011 will see the first full-length ballet to be commissioned by the company for fifteen years, Alice in Wonderland, which will be choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon and co-produced by the National Ballet of Canada, with a scenario by playwright Nicholas Wright and designs by Bob Crowley. Wayne McGregor's follow-up to Limen will be performed along with Wheeldons DGV: Danse À Grande Vitesse and Balanchines Ballo Della Regina. Finally, in the Linbury Studio in June, Aletta Collins will choreograph a production of Jean Cocteaus 1932 play Duet For One, featuring a dancer, actor and a new score by composer and singer Scott Walker. It will share the programme with Poulencs La Voix Humaine, receiving its Royal Opera House premiere. The 2010-2011 season also includes Ashton's Sylvia and Cinderella, Peter Wrights Giselle, Anthony McDowells Swan Lake and Kenneth MacMillans Manon.
Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
