Dateline: 30th January, 2004 Marsden Pulls out of Everyman Production Roy Marsden has pulled out of a production of Calderon de la Barca's The Mayor of Zalamea, due to run at the Liverpool Everyman from 13th February to 6th March. His withdrawal is because of what he calls personal conflicts with stage fright. Artistic director - and director of the production - Gemma Bodinetz says that Marsden was very insisten that he was "bitterly unhappy" to leave but called his stage fright "devastating". He has been replaced by Michael Byrne and the first night has been cancelled so as to allow the company an extra weekend of rehearsals. This will be Bodinetz' first production as artistic director of Liverpool Theatres. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
