The Royal Shakespeare Company is releasing a selection of speeches and music from Gregory Doran’s current productions of Henry IV Parts I and II on a CD and for download from iTunes.
It is the second in a series of recordings as the company aims to capture the music specially composed for all Shakespeare’s plays which the RSC will perform over the next six years.
The latest CD includes music composed by BAFTA-nominated Paul Englishby as well as Edward Gregson, who was the composer for Adrian Noble’s Henry IV at the RSC in 1991.
The CD also includes speeches from both parts of Henry IV by Sir Antony Sher (Falstaff), Alex Hassell (Prince Hal) and Jasper Britton (Henry IV).
The CD is now on sale and downloadable from iTunes.
