Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory
2005
After the success of the initial five year period and the transfer
to the Barbican of last season's plays, Andrew Hilton has been given
a wholehearted approval by the company's founders to continue for another
five years producing two plays each season at Bristol's Tobacco Factory.
This year, as last, there will be only one Shakespeare play.
Pericles
By William Shakespeare
10th February - 19th March
A fable of love, loss and redemption, which echoes The Winter's
Tale and Twelfth Night. Searching the Mediterranean for
a wife, the young Prince Pericles is pursued by a vengeful King, buffeted
by furious seas, shipwrecked and betrayed. Adventure, comedy, tragic
loss and miracle recovery are movingly combined in this epic journey
of the soul

Thursday 3rd March.
Three Sisters
By Anton Chekhov

Three Sisters is one of Chekhov's quartet of masterpieces about life

dissected with humour and compassion in one of the first and most
influential plays of the 20th century.
