New Adventures Edward Scissorhands, devised, directed and choreographed by Matthew Bourne, returns to Salford at the end of the month for its first major revival following sell-out performances across the globe.

Since its première in 2005, it has had sell-out performances in Europe, America, Asia and Australia.

Based on the Tim Burton film, this touching love story tells the bittersweet tale of a boy created by a lonely inventor who dies leaving him alone and unfinished. Left with only scissors for hands, Edward must find his place in a strange suburban world.

The title role will be played by two popular New Adventures stars, Dominic North and Liam Mower.

Playing Edward’s sweetheart, Kim Boggs, will be Ashley Shaw and Katy Lowenhoff. Returning to the production in her original role as Peg Boggs will be New Adventures star, and associate artistic director, Etta Murfitt.

She will be joined by audience favourite, Madelaine Brennan, another original cast member who will also play Peg Boggs, Joyce Monroe and her created role Tiffany Covitt. A New Adventures star for more than 20 years, Saranne Curtin makes a welcome return to the Company to play the role of Joyce Monroe.

It runs from November 25-29 at The Lowry in Salford.
