2011 Free Theatre at The Scoop From 4th August to 4th September The Scoop at More London, near City Hall, will host the Steam Industry's annual festival of free theatre. This year's productions are Around the World in Eighty Days and The Mother. Around the World in Eighty Days is the family show, based on the Jules Verne novel and Phil Willmotts 2001 musical. It runs Thrsday to Sunday at 6pm. The Mother os Mark Ravenhill's new version of the Brecht play written during the rise of Hitler and set in Germany amid street protests. It plays from Thursday to Sunday at 8pm. The Greek-style amphitheatre holds 1,000 people and no booking is required.
