2010/2011 at Scottish Opera

Scottish Opera has announced its season from autumn 2010 to autumn 2011, including its contributions to the Edinburgh International Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe.

On 14th August from 8pm till 2am Club Noir and Scottish Opera come together to present a burlesque night with an operatic twist, A Night at the Opera, as part of the Edinburgh Fringeand just nine days later, on 23rd August, the company will present a concert version of Puccini's La fanciulla del West at the Usher Hall.

Both performed by Members of Scottish Opera's Connect Company - 20 young singers aged between 14 and 21 at the Citizens Theatre, Glasgow (Sat 5 February 2.30pm and 6.30pm and Sun 6 February 2.30pm and 6.30pm )

Scottish Opera and Music Theatre Wales, in collaboration with the Traverse Theatre, will present a new production of Philip Glass's chamber opera In the Penal Colony at the Traverse on 16th November and the collaboration with the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, Janácek's The Cunning Little Vixen, will run at the Theatre Royal Glasgow on 21 & 22 Jan 2011 and at the Festival Theatre Edinburgh on 27 & 29 Jan 2011.
