Shakespeare's Globe on Tour

The 2020 Hay Festival will feature a new theatre space in which Shakespeare's Globe will perform "nature-themed performances".

Amongst the 'early bird' events just announced, Shakespeare’s Globe on Tour will bring nine performances to the theatre space, including A Midsummer Night’s Dream, As You Like It, The Tempest and special ‘audience choice’ slots.

Other performance events will include music from Malian duo Amadou & Mariam joining with the Blind Boys of Alabama and New Zealand folk singer-songwriter Aldous Harding, along with an all-star Hay Festival Foundation gala.

Other events so far announced for the festival will feature authors Hilary Mantel, Ali Smith, Gloria Steinem, Laura Bates, Afua Hirsch and Jung Chang. The full programme will be announced in spring 2020.

The 33rd Hay Festival Wales will take place from 21 to 31 May 2020. Tickets are on sale now to Friends of Hay Festival online or on 01497 822 629. Public booking opens on Thursday 12 December.
