Actress Polly Lister was delighted to discover Sir Ian McKellen was among the audience of her one-woman show, I Was A Wife, at the Dukes in Lancaster.
He was visiting the area and dropped into the theatre to see the play which Polly had written about her short-lived marriage.
Following a tour to Keswick's Theatre By The Lake and Chipping Norton Theatre, the production returned to The Dukes for three final performances.
