Smoke and Bent to Close Early Two West End productions have posted early closing notices today. Tennessee' Williams Summer and Smoke (Apollo) and Bent (Trafalgar Studio 1) will both close earlier than planned. Summer and Smoke closes on 25th November, although it had been booking until 7th February. The producer Kim Poster said, "Despite very positive reviews, ticket sales have not been sufficient and therefore I have made the very difficult decision to close the show. I would like to thank the very talented creative team, cast and crew for their dedication to this production." Bent, which had been booking until 13th January, will close on 9th December. It will be followed into Trafalgar Studio 1 by Rik Mayall in The New Statesman from 13th December to 27th January.
