Blackpool Winter Gardens says soap star Kelvin Fletcher will be playing the Tin Man in this year’s The Wizard of Oz at Blackpool Opera House from December 7 to December 30. He will be joining X-Factor star Holly Tandy playing Dorothy, alongside Radio Wave’s Scott Gallagher as the Cowardly Lion.
This adaptation from the Royal Shakespeare Company is produced by the award-winning Selladoor Family (producers of Madagascar The Musical, Peter Pan, Seussical).
When a tornado whisks away a young Kansas farm girl, Dorothy, and her dog, Toto, to the merry old land of Oz, they learn that the only way to get back home is to ask for help from a great and powerful Wizard.
