The Southwark Playhouse has announced its tenth anniversary season, which opened last week on 3rd September:

New writing at Southwark Playhouse

Burn

Tuesday 23rd September

Set over one night Burn follows the story of Fen and Teale, who have been ordered to take revenge for a local gangster and kill their friend Staide. Fen also has to deal with losing Sissy, his long term girlfriend, who he believes is having an affair with Teale. Fuelled by crack pipe paranoia, all four characters career head first towards the morning.

Some Kind of Bliss

23rd & 27th September

Some Kind of Bliss starts at Selfridges, and finishes in Kylie Minogue's Greenwich living room. At Selfridges, Rachel has no idea how dead inside she is. By Greenwich (with bruises on her face, sex on her fingers and a hijacked vehicle on her police record) everything's changed. Rachel is about to see a new kind of bliss.

Both readings are free and begin at 4.00pm
