Spamalot Tour Is On After being cancelled last year due to "unforeseen circumstances", Monty Python's Spamalot is to launch a national tour this year, although with a different producer. Last year's proposed tour was to be produced by David Ian Productions but now the Ambassador Theatre Group has taken over and will launch the tour at the New Wimbledon Theatre from 29th May to 5th June. Most details have yet to be announced - cast and creatives, dates and venues - but it is known that the production will go on to Nottingham and Southampton after Wimbledon. The West End production ran at the Palace Theatre from September 2006 to January 2009 and starred a succession of King Arthurs, including Tim Curry, who originated the role in the West End, and Simon Russell Beale and Peter Davison.
