Headlining the Spring–Summer season at Salisbury Playhouse are Janie Dee and Clive Francis in a new production of 84 Charing Cross Road.

The play, based on the 20-year friendship between American Helene Hanff and London bookseller Frank Doel, premièred at Salisbury Playhouse in 1981. James Roose-Evans who adapted the book, will direct this revival.

Dark comedy Posh based on Oxford’s elite Bullingdon Club, which counts David Cameron and Boris Johnson among its former members, is a sharp portrayal of privilege and politics. Laura Wade’s play has been adapted for film under the title Riot Club.

Musical comedy favourite Little Shop of Horrors provides the antidote to election fever with more comedy from Jerome K Jerome’s classic Three Men in a Boat and visitors Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense.

Touring productions of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons, Romeo and Juliet and George Bernard Shaw’s Mrs Warren’s Profession also visit Salisbury Playhouse.

The Salisbury Playhouse web site has the season's full programme and booking information.
