Square Peg Scripts

Mainspring Arts, which works across creative disciplines to provide opportunities for 'neurodivergent' people, has launched a new initiative, Square Peg Scripts, to support autistic adults.

Square Peg Scripts will see playwriting workshops and mentoring sessions led by established playwrights for six participants.

The final output of the project will be six original short plays extracts of which will be performed in a public showcase at Autism Arts Festival in April 2019.

Playwrights including Nick Dear, Nicky Werenowska, Tom Wells and Laura Lomas will lead the workshops and mentor the participants.

The workshops will take place at Riverside Studios in Hammersmith in November and December with script development and mentoring support until April.

Applications for Square Peg Scripts will be open until 10 October. Applicants should identify as neurodivergent, be 18 or over and live in England or Wales.
