Stage 100 Awards for 2011
The Stage has announced the winners of its Stage 100 Awards, alongside
itslisting of the top 100 peole in theatre.
The Awards winners are:
- Unsung Hero Award : Edwin Shaw, one of the West End’s
longest serving box office managers who is currently in charge of
the theatre department at See Tickets and was box office manager at
the London Palladium for 35 years; West End children's chaperone Heather
Miller; Frances Coyle who has worked at the Glasgow’s Citizen’s
Theatre since 1967 is is just retiring at the age of 82
- London Theatre of the Year : the Bush Theatre
- Regional Theatre of the Year : Chichester Festival Theatre
- Fringe Theatre of the Year : Jermyn Street Theatre
- Producer of the Year : National Theatre
- School of the Year : the Musical Theatre Academy (MTA) which
is run by BTG columnist Annemarie Lewis Thomas
