International Company to Expand in UK Stage Entertainment, the international Dutch company founded by Joop van den Ende, who is also the creator of one of the world's largest TV production companies Endemol (Big Brother), is set to expand its interests in the UK and has appointed Bill Taylor, former Chief Executive of the Really Useful Group, as Chief Executive Officer of Stage Entertainment UK. The parent company owns a five theatre complex in New York (Dodger Stages on West 50th) and eleven theatres in Germany, three in the Netherlands, three in Spain and one in Russia. Stage Entertainment has been active for several years in the Londons West End as a co-producer of musicals that include Chicago, West Side Story, The Whos Tommy, Fosse, Spend, Spend, Spend and The Full Monty. It has an office on Poland Street in the West End. They presented Contact, the Tony Award¨-winning musical directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman, as their first production in the UK. Blue Man Group is the groups second production in London. It has also produced a range of musicals throughout Europe (Netherlands, Germany, France, Italy, Russia and Spain), including Cats, Mamma Mia!, Beauty and the Beast and The Lion King. Joop van den Ende Theaterproducties presents three to four plays every year in Holland. The 2005/2006 season features Arthur Miller's The Price and One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. Bill Taylor will be responsible for the development and production of theatre and other live entertainment content in the UK and US as well as seeking to acquire related and complimentary entertainment businesses and properties. Mr Taylor will also be responsible for bringing Stage Entertainments existing business operations and productions into UK and US markets.
