Stage One New Producer Bursaries

Stage One - which used to be the Theatre Investment Fund - has announced its bursaries for 2005.

Funded jointly by Stage One and the Society of London Theatre (SOLT), these bursaries are given to promising young producers. The bursary provides finance for the chosen project(s) and the help of an experienced mentor. Some also provide West End space.

The 2005 winners are:

  • Susannah Heath for production of Kenneth & I and development of other projects
  • Alexander Holt for development of Escort and other projects; mentor: Brigid Larmour
  • Mark Jenkyns for production of Golden Prospects and Bicycle Men, developments of The Mouse That Roared and other projects; mentor: Nick Salmon
  • Eleanor Lloyd for production of Hamlet! The Musical and development of other projects; mentor: Peter Wilkins
  • Nirjay Mahindru for development and production of The Hot Zone and other projects; mentor: Thelma Holt.
  • Kate McGrath for production and development of Jackson's Way and other productions; mentor: Caro Newling.
  • Emma Stenning for production and development of The World Cup Final 1966 and Jason and the Argonauts; mentor: Nica Burns.
  • Val Weyland for production of Les Parents Terribles and other projects as agreed with her mentor Brian Kirk
