Beverley Knight will make her panto debut alongside Danny Mac, Matt Slack, Suzanne Shaw, The Grumbleweeds, Ceri Dupree and Phil Randall in Cinderella at Birmingham Hippodrome for Christmas 2017.

Producer and director Michael Harrison said, “this year’s fantastic line-up will ensure another smash-hit pantomime for the Hippodrome. With so many stars across the worlds of music, theatre, dance and comedy, I’m delighted we’ve assembled such a stellar cast for Birmingham’s ultimate pantomime. Once again, there’ll be plenty of laughs, surprises and audience participation to look forward to.”

Midlands-born soul diva Beverley Knight will play the Fairy Godmother. Strictly Come Dancing finalist Danny Mac will be Prince Charming. He played Gabey in On the Town at Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre in summer 2017.

Returning for his fifth consecutive Hippodrome panto, Matt Slack plays Buttons. Suzanne Shaw will be Cinderella while Robin Colvill and James Brandon, better known as the Grumbleweeds, will be the Broker’s Men. Completing the line-up will be Ceri Dupree and Phil Randall as the Ugly Sisters.

Cinderella runs at Birmingham Hippodrome from Tuesday 19 December until Sunday 28 January 2018.
