Stoke theatre starts search for top talent

Stoke's Top TalentThe Regent Theatre in Stoke has announced that its talent search, Stoke’s Top Talent, is back.

The theatre is looking for non-professional singers, dancers, musicians, bands, comedians, acrobats, groups or individuals of any age and any ability to take part in this year’s competition.

The contest is not restricted to Stoke residents—it’s open to anyone who lives within an hour’s drive of the theatre.

Stoke-born entertainer Jonathan Wilkes will compere the show while a panel of judges will include guest celebrities.

The overall winner will win £2,000 and a paid, professional contract with producers First Family Entertainment to appear in this year’s Regent panto Cinderella. Two runners-up will receive £500 each.

Initial auditions will take place at the Victoria Hall on Saturday, 28 July, followed by call-back auditions on Saturday, 4 August. The heats will be held at the Regent from Monday until Friday, 10 to 14 September with the final on Saturday, 15 September.
