A show that was one of the plays in the Classic Thriller season at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal in 2016 is to have a three-week run at the Ambassadors Theatre, London.

Mindgame by Anthony Horowitz was produced by Tabs Productions. It went on a nationwide tour and now Angela Browne Ltd is taking it into the West End.

The show features Mark Styler, a crime writer who tries to get an interview with a notorious serial killer, Easterman. First he has to get past Dr Farquhar, the quixotic head of Fairfields, the asylum where Easterman is kept. But he soon discovers that nothing is as it seems.

Andrew Ryan who plays Styler is a veteran of Agatha Christie productions. He played Giles Ralston in The Mousetrap for a year at St Martin’s Theatre in the West End. His work with Tabs includes Karen Henson’s Marie Lloyd and the Music Hall Murder at the National Justice Museum in 2017.

Michael Sherwin plays Farquhar. His appearances in the West End include Scrooge the Musical, Ken Hill's Phantom of the Opera and Peter Shaffer’s Lettice and Lovage with Dame Maggie Smith. He also took the role of Giles in The Mousetrap. He travelled to the Far East with Phantom and to Japan and Norway with Yukio Ninagowa's production of Ibsen’s Peer Gynt.

Sarah Wynne Kordas is Paisley. She played Olivia Grayne in Night Must Fall by Emlyn Williams in the Colin McIntyre Classic Thriller Season in Nottingham in 2015 and has appeared in several other Tabs productions.

Mindgame which is directed by Karen Henson runs at the Ambassadors from Tuesday 15 May until Saturday 2 June.
