Northwest DanceNorthwest Dance, The Lowry Youth Dance Partnership, is offering young performers across Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Lancashire a taste of life as a dance professional, potentially leading to a place on The Centre for Advanced Training Scheme in Dance at The Lowry. Currently in its third year, the initiative is designed to offer young performers aged 12-18 a channel into the professional dance industry, preparing them for professional training.

The CAT is hosting a series of open days across the region this spring—in Manchester, Warrington, Blackpool, Burnley, Congleton, Lancaster and Chester—to introduce potential participants to the scheme.

Each Open Day will include a contemporary dance technique class and creative session for the young people, followed by a question and answer session that gives both potential students and their parents/guardians the chance to find out more about the CAT scheme and other opportunities available through NorthWest Dance and its partners. The Open Days are free to attend, but must be booked in advance.
