"Nothing To Do With Us!" Revived boy band Take That have announced that they have nothing to do with, nor do they endorse, the new musical Never Forget which uses the group's songs and is based on the story of an "unlikely" Take That tribute band. According to the Evening Standard, the band members are "furious" and they did not realise that their songs would be used in a musical when they were licensed by EMI to the show's producers in 2005 and want "their fans and the general public to know that this production is absolutely and 100 percent nothing to do with Take That." Danny Brocklehurst, who has written for television shows including Shameless, Clocking Off and Sorted, writes the book. It will be directed by Ed Curtis, with choreography by Karen Bruce. Co-producer Bronia Buchanan hopes that the show will appeal to both Take That and music theatre fans: "We hope that the band will be delighted with the production when they see the show themselves," she said. The production will open in Cardiff on 20th July and will tour to Glasgow, Manchester, Stoke and Edinburgh before heading for the West End. Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
