Tejas Verdes to Return to the Gate

After sell-out performances Thea Sharrock's production of Fermín Cabal's Tejas Verdes, which has already extended once at the Gate Theatre, is to return for a further eighteen perfomances between 7th and 26th March but with a slightly changed cast.

Anna Calder-Marshall replaces Gemma Jones as the Gravedigger and Hattie Ladbury replaces Lou Gish as the Spanish Lawyer.

The promenade production - which the BTG's Philip Fisher described as "heart-breaking" - traces the life of a young woman who disappeared one night in Santiago and has been a critical as well as a popular hit, with Charles Spencer of the Telegraph calling it "Breathtakingly imaginative…Unforgettable" and John Peter of the Sunday Times saying it is "an indispensable play for our times."
