Tejas Verdes to Return to the Gate After sell-out performances Thea Sharrock's production of Fermín Cabal's Tejas Verdes, which has already extended once at the Gate Theatre, is to return for a further eighteen perfomances between 7th and 26th March but with a slightly changed cast. Anna Calder-Marshall replaces Gemma Jones as the Gravedigger and Hattie Ladbury replaces Lou Gish as the Spanish Lawyer. The promenade production - which the BTG's Philip Fisher described as "heart-breaking" - traces the life of a young woman who disappeared one night in Santiago and has been a critical as well as a popular hit, with Charles Spencer of the Telegraph calling it "Breathtakingly imaginative Unforgettable" and John Peter of the Sunday Times saying it is "an indispensable play for our times." Please note that all three Archive indices are very long and will therefore take some time to download.
