Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho

2014 Edinburgh Fringe sensation Margaret Thatcher Queen Of Soho will play a limited run at London's Leicester Square Theatre in March.

The show was previously seen in the capital at Battersea's Theatre503 and at the Brighton Festival where it won the Brighton Argus Angel for Artistic Excellence.

Margaret Thatcher Queen Of Soho is a drag musical comedy cabaret extravaganza with serious points to make about tolerance, gay rights and Margaret Thatcher's homophobic legislation, Section 28.

In this comedy romp the lady who is not for turning gets lost in Soho on the eve of the vote, realises the error of her ways, overturns the bill, and leaves Whitehall to become a gay rights championing cabaret superstar.

The show is performed by Matt Tedford who co-wrote it with director Jon Brittain. Tedford won the Award for Best Male Performance at the Dublin International Gay Theatre Festival and was nominated for the Most Promising Playwright in the Off West End Awards.

Nico Lennon plays all the other characters.
