Légende; André and Dorine; What Does Stuff Do?

The Gateshead International Festival of Theatre (GIFT) presents the Best of BE Festival, the touring showcase of Birmingham’s international festival of performing arts, at the Caedmon Hall in Gateshead’s Central Library on 6 March.

There will be three 30 minute samples:

  • Spanish company Kulunka Teatro will present André and Dorine, a moving story of the relationship between an old couple, told through mask.

  • In What Does Stuff Do? Robin Boon Dale will spend 30 minutes, literally, tripping his way through a part guide and part motivational speech on juggling.

  • Finally, Romain Teule's show, Légende, unpacks the possibilities of language, and plays upon the (mis)interpretation of words, with amusing results.

The show runs for two hours, including a post-show discussion and 20-minute interval, and tickets can be bought from the Brown Paper Tickets web site.
