Bath-based professional touring companies Butterfly Psyche Theatre and Livewire Theatre present The Brontë Season.
Made up of three plays based on novels by each of the Brontë sisters, the shows tour from 17 September with a cast of two,Alison Campbell and Jeremy Fowlds.
The plays are
- Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre adapted by Dougie Blaxland
- Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights adapted by Dougie Blaxland
- Anne Brontë's The Tenant of Wildfell Hall adapted by Alison Farina
The tour includes outreach work and library and schools workshops and some performances are followed bypost-show discussions.
The Brontë Season visits:
- Rondo Theatre, Bath – 17 to 27 September
- Victoria Hall, Radstock – 4 to 5 October
- Arnos Vale Cemetry, Bristol – 8 to 11 October
- Redmaids, Bristol – 22 to 25 October
- Barnfield, Exeter – 30 October to 1 November
