The Hoff and Jersey Boys to hit Wolverhampton

David Hasselhoff is to make his Wolverhampton Grand debut in a new musical and West End phenomenon Jersey Boys will visit the West Midlands venue in 2016, the theatre has announced.

Hasselhoff, star of Baywatch and Knight Rider, will play an extrovert, party-going DJ in Ibiza in a new musical packed full of ‘90s hits, Last Night A DJ Saved My Life. It runs in Wolverhampton from 17 until 21 November.

One of the highlights of the summer season will be the musical Dreamboats and Miniskirts which is set in 1963. It will be on the Grand stage from 23 until 27 June.

The 60th anniversary production of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap visits Wolverhampton from 29 June until 4 July.

In the autumn, Tommy Steele, “Britain’s greatest song and dance man”, will appear in a new musical, The Glenn Miller Story, from 19 until 24 October which is followed by another musical, the return of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers, from 26 until 31 October.

The Touring Consortium Theatre Company will present Aldous Huxley’s ingenious fantasy of the future, Brave New World, from 3 until 7 November.

With a career spanning more than 50 years on stage and screen, Judy Cornwell, who played Daisy in Keeping Up Appearances, is Miss Marple in a new production of Agatha Christie’s A Murder is Announced from 24 until 28 November.

As previously announced, John Altman, who is best known as Nasty Nick Cotton in EastEnders, will play Captain Hook alongside the Chuckle Brothers in Peter Pan at the Grand from 12 December until 24 January.

The hugely successful musical about the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, Jersey Boys, will visit Wolverhampton for two weeks and will be at the Grand from 9 until 20 February 2016.
