The winners of The Stage Awards 2018 were announced this week.

Selected by The Stage’s senior editorial team, following consultation with leading industry figures and a public nomination process, the Awards recognise achievements of theatre companies and individuals.

For the second time, The Almeida Theatre was named London Theatre of the Year, Cardiff's Sherman Theatre took home the award for Regional Theatre of the Year and the Hope Mill Theatre in Manchester won the Fringe Theatre of the Year award.

Bridge Theatre won Theatre Building of the Year and Arcola Theatre picked up the Sustainability Award.

Hull City of Culture was named Producer of the Year and the Innovation Award went to The Everyman Company Liverpool.

The Unsung Hero award was won by theatre interior designer Clare Ferraby.
