To run or not to run… it’s no question for Hamlet at the Octagon in Bolton.

David Ricardo-Pearce, who is playing the lead in the upcoming production, is to run the London Marathon in a bid to raise money for the theatre’s redevelopment.

As well as learning lines and rehearsing with the rest of the cast, David will also be taking on additional training for the event on April 22.

As the Octagon reaches its milestone 50th anniversary, the building is no longer big enough or modern enough to withstand the next five decades. The Octagon Reimagined project will be the most comprehensive redevelopment in the theatre’s history.
