Ben Thornton and Sam Rabone will return to Lichfield Garrick for the theatre’s 2018 panto Dick Whittington.

The duo will team up for the third year in a row after appearing in Sleeping Beauty in 2016 and Aladdin in 2017.

Garrick executive director Karen Foster said, “our audiences tell us that Sam Rabone and Ben Thornton are the comedy stars of our award-winning pantomimes, so I’m absolutely delighted to welcome them back for a third year.

“Children of all ages have joined Ben’s gang during Sleeping Beauty and Aladdin and I hope they’ll look forward to the mayhem Ben will bring as Idle Jack in Dick Whittington.”

Thornton added, “I'm delighted to be back for a third year at the Garrick. This place is starting to feel like home for Christmas, a beautiful city to be in for two months and a wonderful theatre.

Dick Whittington is a panto I've been lucky enough to have been in before with Evolution Pantomimes, so I know the Lichfield audiences are in for a treat.”

Dick Whittington, the third panto at the Garrick to be co-produced with Evolution Pantomimes, will run from Friday 30 November until Monday 31 December 2018.
