Dotdotdot: exposing the "true essence" of flamenco

Flamenco “as you’ve never seen it before” will be on offer when Dotdotdot Flamenco Company premieres its new production at Buxton Fringe.

No Frills “asks the spectator to put aside preconceptions of what flamenco is and urges you to give in to its rhythms, its melodies, its energy and its power”.

Dotdotdot Flamenco Company’s vision is to take away the frills to expose flamenco’s true essence.

Six young performers will bring this collaborative work straight from Spain to the Buxton Fringe Festival, drawing on their experience performing on stages across four continents to celebrate flamenco's raw energy.

Dancers and choreographers are Yinka Esi Graves, Noemí Luz and Magdalena Mannion. Music director is Liam Howarth with design by La Niña Pobre and Flamencura.

No Frills will be performed at the Pavilion Arts Centre Studio, St John’s Road, Buxton on Tuesday 22 July at 7:30PM and Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 23 to 25 July, at 9PM.
